I was born in the Spanish quarters in Naples, I have always written and sung song, I’m a composer and I’m fond of popular music. Moreover, I’m qualified in double-bass at the Academy of music of my town. began my professional career in Roberto de Simone’s orchestra and I took part in some works such-as: La Gatta Cenerentola, Masaniello’s Cantata, Carmina Vivianea, Pulcinella’s misfortunes.

From 1984 to 1998 I’ve been member of the Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare. I collaborated with the band both as a double-bass player in a lot of international festivals ( Athens, Barcelona, Tokyo, Toronto, Algiers, Caracas, Lyon, Hamburg…) and as an author-composer in four albums:“Medina” CGD (1992), “Tzigari” CGD (1995) “Incanto Acustico” CGD (1996) “Pesce d’’o mare” EMI (1998). I have even composed for the Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare two songs proposed to San Remo’s Festival “Pe’ Dispietto” CGD (1993) which obtained the critics’award and “Sotto il velo del cielo” EMI (1998). Furthermore I composed the melody and wrote the lyrics for the greatest interpreter of the Neapolitan song: Roberto Murolo, I’m talking about “Ottantavogliadicantare” CGD (1992), “L’Italia è Bbella” PolyGram (1993) - a song which lets the eighty-year-old Murolo come out at San Remo’s Festival in 1994 causing a sensation and obtaining the award to the career ; “I Grandi Duetti” Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni (2002), “Ho sognato di cantare” Carosello (2002).I wrote songs for the actress-singer Lina Sastri, both in theatrical plays such-as “Melos” (1999) and in record projects such-as the CD “Festa” Carosello (2002). 1993 I began as folksinger with the album “Cambierà” PolyGram. In 1997 I was a guest at “Premio Recanati” whit the song “Fronne”, involving the boys of Nisida’s remand-home in my project.

In 2001, the recording label “Oriente musik” from Berlin, presents to the World Music Festival (Womex) – Rotterdam my record project “Le Danze di Dioniso” published all over Europe; in Italy distributed by Felmay. At Epiphany 2002, I took part in the Peace Concert in Santa Chiara’s Church, together with Noa, J. Feliciano, M. Ovadia, S.B. Hawkins. Since summer 2002 my performance “Le Danze di Dioniso” has been invited in the most important Italians and European festivals such-as “Vulcano Festival” Germany; “Sete Sòis Sete Luas” Portugal, Spain, Greece; “SchlossGoldrain” Austria; “Sconfinando-Suoni dal mondo”, “International Folk Dance”, “Itinerari Folk”, “La Notte della Taranta”, “Diso Folk”, “Carpino Folk”, “Festa della Biodiversità”, “Ariano Folk”, “Monsano Folk”, “Invasioni Festival”, “Negro Festival” Italy; “Festival du Cinéma Italien” France.

In September 2002 and 2003 the Municipality of Ospedaletto (Av) asked me to compose something for the anniversary of Monte Vergine’s Basilica and the musical story “La Grande Madre” was born. Since summer 2003 I have been appointed as art director of the “Festival of the Biodiversity”, which takes place each year in Naples, moreover I’m interested in the itinerant show “La Notte della Tammorra” – The Night of the Drum -,I created in occasion the summer’s solstice.
