“I’ve never really been a ‘Jam band’ kinda guy. And I’ve never really been a ‘Reggae’ kind of guy. Sure, I could handle either of them in (small) doses but, not enough to want to sit and listen to them for hours. Enter Elementree Livity Project. Game changed”, says Michael Clare of mikecimages. It’s hard to believe these five individuals have only been playing music together for a year. It’s time to start believing! In just over one year, Elementree Livity Project has created a recipe for success based on one goal. That goal is simple; to bring the message of Livity to the masses by spreading positive vibes; a message of peace, harmony, & acceptance for all people. It is a message of love & understanding for all.
Since taking the stage by storm in August of 2013, ELP has already carved out a space all their own with their whirlwind grooves, electric leads and thundering bass lines. Already, they have shared the stage with artists like Shaggy, The Original Wailers, Nahko & Medicine for The People, Everton Blender, Warrior King, Fortunate Youth, Keller Williams, Papadosio and The Revivalists to name just a few. After every storm, the sun will shine and the future of ELP is looking bright! On the brink of their first official EP release, the band is poised to emerge as a mainstay on the festival circuit. The 5-piece reggae rock dance machine has already performed at major events such as Rootwire Transformational Arts Festival, Resonance Music and Arts Festival and their very own event, Ohmstead Music Festival. In addition, their blazing take on reggae riddims can be heard at major venues throughout the Midwest such as The Madison Theater and The Woodlands Tavern.
The members of Elementree Livity Project are Dave “Elementree” Danforth (guitar, vocals), Bean Bastin (lead guitar, vocals), Stephen Buttree (sax, flute, keys and vocals), Michael Walker (bass) and Cisco Hughes (drums). “They are so ready for the next step. You can clearly see it in the crowds’ actions. ELP is building a following and a new Album should open the door for success. You can queue up any ELP song and immediately become relaxed, happy, a complete buzz satisfaction” – Randy Williams from www.degenerationnation.com.
