Hailing from Dallas, Texas, the four members of Chomsky enjoy being an anomaly in the music scene: Computer geeks that play in a rock band. Named for an East Coast intellectual, but from a place known more for mud flaps and horned frogs than linguistics or political activism. It’s this off-kilter sensibility that permeated Chomsky’s first two albums, “A Few Possible Selections for the Soundtrack of Your Life,” and, “Onward Quirky Soldiers.” Chomsky’s secret heart beats with 80s blood.
