Auftrieb is an alias of German producer Wolfgang Voigt. From 1997 to 2000 he released material under this name on his own Kompakt sublabels Auftrieb and Kreisel 99 in addition to remixes for Michael Mayer, Jörg Burger's The Modernist project, and Voigt's own Dom and Dextro NRG monikers.
