Formed in 2013 by Canadian composer/pianist Frank Horvat, The Frank Horvat Band (TFHB) blends indie art rock with electronic influences to create immersive, ambient soundscapes. Their debut album, I Can See You, explores themes of time, inner conflict, and isolation, combining Horvat’s struggles with poetry from his life partner. Their follow-up, Strange Machine, offers a dynamic playlist-like experience, addressing the impact of external and internal machines on our lives. Featuring a rotating lineup of vocalists and musicians, TFHB’s distinctive sound is crafted with producer Jean Martin and includes contributions from artists like Ghislain Aucoin and Christine Duncan.
