Despite being born in Ennis, Gerry soon mastered techniques associated with Leo Kottke, Loudon Wainwright, and Tony Douglas. His fluency and precision won him many admirers,equally at home on 6 &12 string, and resonator guitars. A noted Dublin critic credited Gerry with "Interior Logic".
Following on from early excursions to Maywood and Furry Park,Gerry went on to The Grove.
Besides his playing,Gerry holds many Production credits and has played with the best and the bravest of Irish musicians .
