The Savage Juliet was a NYC-based Indie Rock band. They began in 2002 as a duo of guitarist Scott Johnson and vocalist Kate Dwyer. From initially playing songs in Dwyer's living room, they quickly rose through the Indie scene in NYC.

After their first show at The Cutting Room, they decided to record a 10-track CD keeping a lo-fi sound using the trap kit, played by drummer Chad Pearson, and bass played by Scott Magin. Pearson stayed in The Savage Juliet the whole time, being both an office manager and drummer simultaneously. However, Magin would depart the band without much cause very quickly after joining, just around the release of the group's first album "Longshot". Following Pearson's departure from the group, bassist Michael Podniesinski of the band Lesion lent his time and skill to many of the band's performances and played bass on their sophomore album “Another Roadside Attraction”.

Released in 2004, "Another Roadside Attraction" would be the peak of the band's relevance during their active years. The album was recorded and mixed by prominent producer Tony Maserati. The record received a few positive reviews online, and it was clear that The Savage Juliet had refined the sound they had started back in 2002 in Dwyer's living room. They would go on to perform at many clubs around New York City following the release of "Another Roadside Attraction".

Just when things seemed to be looking up for the group, Podniesinski, just like Magin before him left the band to start a family and continue playing with Lesion. In 2005, The Savage Juliet found their third bass player, Richard Alwyn, who the group claimed "helped bring a new sound and organize some cool events for the band".

However, these "new sounds" would never see the light of day as sometime after Alwyn joined, the group disbanded. Most members went on to new careers. The Savage Juliet then fell into obscurity, not releasing any music since "Another Roadside Attraction" back in 2004. Read more on Last.fm.
