Adam O, who was born Adam O'Neal in St Vincent and the Grenadines, became serious about music while serving in the US Marine Corp for 10 years as a helicopter mechanic. Music became a family affair for him when he formed a band called Coolbreeze that included his brother and they toured several US cities.

His persistence and dedication to learning music and evolving has paid off since he is now featured on DJ Private Ryan’s Sunkissed Shores riddim and the Cabana Riddim which features Patrice Roberts and several others.

He explained that one of the beauties for him with music is seeing how it transcends borders.

“A lot of my influences came from Africa, the Haitian style (kompa), the Dominican style. Even jazz and country music is music that I really appreciate so when it comes to music as a whole, I just feel like it has no barriers,” he said.
Now that his foot is in the door, Adam O has set his eyes on working with the big names of Soca.
