Amphitrite, hailing from Cape Fear, NC, is an experimental rock duo similar in style to The Melvins, Boris, Torche, a pinch of Sonic Youth and Queens of The Stone Age. They formed in 2010 by husband and wife: Johnny and Angela Yeagher (both formerly of doom metal band, Wastelands Of Deceit and earlier on punk rock n roll band Ironhead). Their debut album will be released on their own DIY label, Neried Records sometime early in 2011. Look for it on vinyl and cassette.
