Suburban Prototype is a duo based out of Southern Florida. They go under different pseudonyms: (Trudeaux) and (Bleigh). It is hard to pinpoint their genre since most of their tracks are very different in nature. Lyrically, they write about disturbing topics like governmental conspiracies involving cloning, electronic voice phenomena, and the decadence in society.
SP's history starts way back in 1985 when alternative music was blossoming. Their influence then included Anne Clark, Gary Numan, A-Ha and This Mortal Coil. In 1986, they had a change in direction and began creating Hi-NRG dance and freestyle. This lasted about three years. In 1991, they teamed up again and did two tracks (12" single) under a different name, repeating the same thing in 1998 with yet another name in 1998.
The new Suburban Prototype re-emerged in 2005 with a track on Telegrammetry's "Weatherhead 1" compilation followed by two additional tracks on "Weatherhead 2" and "Weatherhead 3" respectively.
Suburban Prototype will be releasing a full length CD in 2009.
