James Markey joined the New York Philharmonic in 1997 as Associate Principal Trombone, and in June 2007 was appointed Bass Trombone. Previously, he was principal trombone of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Since 2001 he has also been a member of the Sun Valley Summer Symphony in Sun Valley, Idaho. Read more on Last.fm.
