Alberto Brenes, Mauri Gómez and David Sancho, the three architects of Monodrama, are aware that their music is complex, experimental, different, risky. A brave cocktail between contemporary jazz, improvisation and some electronic chiribitas. But the three of them get their hair on end when they are told that theirs is a proposal that is not without difficulty. “Difficult for whom?”, Brenes, responsible for drums, percussion and sound design, stirred. “For David Lynch or for María Teresa Campos? It depends on where you put the ribbon. If we were to settle for what the majority hears, we would be setting it too low.
