Born in Kentucky, Steve Thorpe is currently living on the East Coast of Florida in the U.S.A.

Steve is a straight-ahead aggressive blues guitar player and singer. Even though known for his hard hitting Chicago/Texas style, Steve will occasionally pull out a dobro and do a set of his favorite delta songs if the mood hits and the crowd is right.

All blues, all the time...except when Todd Taylor calls and says bring a dobro and lets do some pickin'. Steve grew up in Eastern Kentucky listening to bluegrass his entire childhood. Steve says that bluegrass style dobro is what led him ultimately to the blues.

He has been a fixture in the Melbourne Area music scene for 20+ years, and has had his own Blues band for the past 10 years called " Steve Thorpe and the Blues Orchestra." He has released 2 CD's, "Trouble," and the latest being "Live, Down and Dirty," which was released July of 2006. Read more on Last.fm.
