Nick Rossi has been perfecting his craft in and around the San Francisco Bay area mod and jazz scenes in various acts since 1990, and as leader of The Nick Rossi Set since 1997. Earlier incarnations of the Set have released several 7” vinyl singles and compilation tracks, but the vibe for the album was ever so elusive. Finally, the band gelled with Nick (organ) leading, Steve Burke (guitar), Sameer Gupta (drums), and Aaron Rossi (tenor sax). The soul of the group as well as the interplay between the members was honed in extensive live performances during 2003 and 2004.
