Sam & The Soul Machine is a group of music funk of New Orleans , Louisiana , led by pianist Sam Henry, which gives its name to the group. The group, which has many points of contact with The Meters , was active from the late 60s to mid-next decade, in the golden age of funk to New Orleans . Sam & The Soul Machine is a largely unknown group because of a chain of negative events that occurred in the late 60s and later drove the group to try his luck in Nashville , where they continued until its final dissolution.
