In describing the 32 Ohm sound, some critics make references to the British, American and German eighties. Though 32 Ohm’s compositions are not strictly limited to just the one style, their trademarks are solid eighties rock and catchy songs jam-packed with atmosphere in which the synthesizer plays a distinctive role.

In 2006 the band arrived on the Dutch pop scene and released their debut EP “Tripod”, shaped their new songs, getting ready for a new series of performances. After their debut season, as a three-piece armed with a computer processing the rhythms, the band has expanded with a rhythm section of flesh and blood, which completed the band: Guido (vocals), Gaston (guitars), John (keys and synths), Rob (drums) and Ruud (bass). In 2007 the band re-emphasized their position in the scene. 32 Ohm produced a series of new songs in English and in German. The new sound commenced, as presented on their EP "Leidenschaft" in 2008.
