E1 Ten, formerly known as Ten, is the new moniker of Dutch songwriter, rapper, singer and musician Iwan van Amersfoord, who is perhaps best known as Rockattack Ten, the frontman of Dutch P-funk standout crew, Gotcha!.

Under the name E1 Ten he returns with the album, The Lovefunk, released in January 2019.

Over a thirty year spanning career, E1 Ten (singer, songrhymer, music producer, illustrator and entertainer of sorts) has an impressive list of collaborations to his name: 24-7 Spyz!, Mary Griffin, Baskerville, Chef'Special, Track Addicts, DJ Dynamax and the great George Clinton himself, to name but a few. The latter's 1991 visit to Gotcha!’s studio in Haarlem, The Netherlands, made Dutch pop music history: Words & Music from Da Lowlands is a Dutch classic.

Rockattack Ten left Gotcha! in 1996, forming Nicotine with Kid Crash as his partner in crime. April 1999 saw the release of his first proper solo album: In My Own World, released under the moniker Ten. This funky work does not go unnoticed: George Clinton invites the Haarlem funkateer to perform with him at Woodstock '99 and Ten is inducted into the legendary 'P-Funk All Star Family'. Ten then proceeded to make three albums in seven years' time with Marc Sokpolie, under the name TrackAddicts.

After a Gotcha! / Gotcha! Allstars reunion around 2009 a period of soul searching ensued. The passing of his beloved father and an unrelenting desire to deliver a solo masterpiece drives him back into the studio. Aided by long term creative comrades Michael Parkinson and Laurens Kagenaar and inspired by his love for eighties old school cut & paste beat culture, The Lovefunk was born. The album connects blues, soul, funk and rock 'n roll, touching on subjects such as addiction, loss, death and paranoia. Read more on Last.fm.
