There is more than one band called Stagger Lee - One is a Dublin-based four piece honing their distorted tales in a dark dank underground of night time Dublin City, Stagger Lee bring you all, louder, dirtier and sleazier than ever before, songs to twist your filthy little minds. They embody the spirit of Robert Johnsons Devil-at-the-crossroads and Mavis Staples sultry gospel cry combined with the energy and attitude of artists such as The Stooges, The Cramps and Siouxsie Sioux.

The other group, although resided in northern Sweden, Stagger Lees music is mainly rooted in the American tradition, blending country influences with classic guitar rock and the notion that more is, well, more. As a band, Stagger Lee has existed since 2004, although several of the members have played together in different constellations since 1997, passing through such diversed music styles as classic hard rock, heavy metal and Swedish folk rock along the way.
