Tyler Ransom (17) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist with a steep background in Jazz, Blues and Rock & Roll. His music defies boundaries as he excels in Jazz and Indie Rock. He recently co-authored a book with his father, ‘Chronically Positive. My Son’s 5 Step System to Staying Positive’, where he discusses his music journey. “I have true passion for music, which makes me feel alive, it is like having air to breathe. In middle school my music teacher put a saxophone in my hands and played John Coltrane on the speakers and I was blown away. I listened to him playing and I knew exactly what it was like to freely convey your thoughts in a universal language where everyone could feel it in their bones. As a 10 year- old I picked up a guitar and my world changed, I had found something that understood me, something I felt gave me meaning and gave me the ability to express myself without limitations.” Tyler plans on releasing a Indie Rock album and a Jazz album by the end of 2018, with his mind set on touring in the near future.
