1 - Cockroach is a pseudonym for Dan Penta, a New York City based songwriter frequently associated with the Antifolk scene. This Cockroach has performed and recorded as a solo artist, as well as with his bands Hearth and Whisper Doll, and sometimes appears as a guest on others' records, like Kimya Dawson's "Hidden Vagenda."
Cockroach is also the name of:
2 - a black/death metal band from Germany.
3 - a nu-metal/hard rock band from Poland.
4 - a punk band from the Netherlands.
They play fast and furious punk/powerviolence in the vein of bands such as Romantic Gorilla. Their tracks seldom reaching over a playtime of 2 or even 1 minute.
5- an italo-disco group, produced by the Nicolosi Family, with Dora Carofiglio on vocals. Released the 12" Get Back in 1983.
6- A Japanese rock band from Sapporo that formed in june 2010 by vocalist Kyotaro Shimizu (清水京太郎) and guitarist Hiroto Tanaka (田中尋人), they were joined in july by Kyojiro Matsushita (松下狂次郎).
