This singer, songwriter, actress is the mecca of underground talent, waiting to breakout like 6:32am sun rays in the south. A Memphis native, Candace (a.k.a. Candy Fox) spent time earning a Boston College education, while honing her craft on Comm Ave with some of the Berklee College of Music greats. In 2002, after being named the “Boston Idol,” Candace went on to make the Top 100 in American Idol’s second season. Having gone back to her roots, Candace, aka "Candy Fox" lent her vocals and fiery-energy to a hot hip-hop/rock/soul band, Free Sol, who won the 2003 Mid-South Grammy® Showcase and released an album 11:11 (Memphis Records, 2004), before beginning her solo journey. After working briefly with the talented king of holy hip-hop, Mr. Del (Universal) and his label Nu Soul Records, Candace began her solo career. A true daughter of the Bible Belt, Candace is a Sr. Account Executive at archer>malmo (full service communications agency) and will release her debut album ‘Soul Stir’ November 2009. In addition to her solo endeavors, she can be heard ministering with Donte Everhart and the E-TYM Movement , or lending her background vocals around the country with R&B crooners Glenn Jones and Howard Hewett, and R&B/Gospel sensation Dave Hollister!
