Andrew Drury is a drummer/composer active in jazz, free improvisation, New Music, music for dance, and other genres and media.
Drury currently performs as a soloist, leads a horn and drums quartet, Content Provider (with Peter Evans, Krauss, and Chris Speed) and other groups with Darius Jones, Kyoko Kitamura, Jane Rigler, Oscar Noriega, Angelica Sanchez, and Sara Schoenbeck.
As a collaborator/sideman Drury plays in three of Jason Kao Hwang’s groups (EDGE, Burning Bridge, and Spontaneous River); 10^32K featuring Frank Lacy; the Jack Wright/Andrew Drury Duo; TOTEM>; IRON DOG; MiND; Yoni Kretzmer's 66 Boxes; Other Life Forms; to name a few.
Over the years Drury has had the pleasure of playing with artists such as Ricardo Arias, Michel Doneda, Charles Gayle, Wayne Horvitz, Eyvind Kang, Andrea Neumann, J. D.
