Robert Aldwinckle has an international reputation as a harpsichordist, having performed extensively all over Europe, the USA and the Far East.
He has performed with numerous orchestras and ensembles throughout Europe including the English Chamber Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the Nouvel Orchestre Philharmonique de Paris, the Rome Radio Orchestra, and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. He has played in many of the world's most prestigious concert halls, such as Carnegie Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, the Philharmonie in Berlin, La Fenice in Venice, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, as well as in Salzburg, Edinburgh, Versailles and Buckingham Palace. He has worked with violinists Zukerman, Menuhin, Kremer, Mullova and Kennedy and with conductors Abbado, Maazel, Farncombe, MacKerras, Leppard, Goodman and Tate. He has worked alongside many world class singers including Jessie Norman, Teresa Berganza, Olaf Bar and James Bowman. Opera houses in which he has performed include Paris Garnier, Reggio Emilia, Drottningholm, Dresden, Venice, Paris Chatelet, Madrid, Versailles and Monte Carlo. Closer to home, he is Organist and Choirmaster at St. Mark’s Church, Little Common, and accompanist to Bexhill Choral Society, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, England.
Mr. Aldwinckle is also a much sought-after vocal coach.
