Local country artist Brett Daniels moved to St. Louis from Austin, TX slightly down on his luck. He loved to perform but needed some work and moved to the city from Austin hoping to both play and secure a job. After meeting Bert Coleman, who became his manager shortly after, Brett's dream of playing on a regular basis came true. Coleman had worked in many different branches of the entertainment industry and had performed in Broadway National Tours, worked in radio and then the Record Industry working as Regional and National Promotion Director for Atlantic, Warner Bros., Polygram, Motown, Arista, Chrysalis and Tommy Boy Record in New York, Los Angeles, and St. Louis. Daniels and Coleman started out on an amazing journey, a black man managing a white singer in Country Music, a first.

The two started putting a show together with original material from some great Nashville songwriters. Since that day five years ago, Brett Daniels has performed in Nashville at the annual Country Radio Seminar, the club 12th & Porter, various clubs around the country; Austin(MoMo's), Seattle (Little Red Hen), Los Angeles (Roxy), Chicago, a number of times in New York including the cutting Room with guest artist, St. Louis' own Ellen Foley! In St. Louis, Daniels has opened for the Well Hungarians and for Shooter Jennings, Anthony Rapp (RENT) and has played in a variety of venues as a solo and with his band that included Billy Barnett, Robert LLoyd (Field of Grey), Keven Bower (TOAS), David Smith, Mike Snodgrass and Jeremy Ray. Brett's TV appearances have included Show Me St. LOuis, and Fox 2 Morning Show.

Brett has three singles that have been played nationally and in Europe. The first single was a remake of the Motown Classic "What Becomes of the Broken Hearted". The two other singles "If I Was Gonna Leave Someone", and his latest "I wanna Live Like That" were also widely received on a national level. These singles were produced in Los Angeles by Marty Rifkin. Rifkin has produced such artists as Buddy Jewell, Tom Petty, Lee Ann Rimes, Jewel, and tours and plays with Bruce Springsteen.

This past June Brett Daniels was chosen to perform at the CMA Music Festival's Acoustic Corner in Nashville. Daniels' current single is being played on Sirius Radios "New Country" and over 130 stations around the country. Labor Day weekend Brett Daniels will be in Austin to open for local Alt. Country rocker Bob Schneider and is scheduled to appear on Fox 7 Austin. September 16 Brett Daniels will perform at the Grove Music Festival. Read more on Last.fm.
