Siobhan O'Malley took the New York City music scene by the lapels and hasn't looked back since! A quirky mix of folk, pop, and alt-country, her music is a mash-up that reflects her varied musical tastes. Her lyrics are specific and can often tell stories from just a few words.

They also can verge on funny: who else rhymes "optometrist" with "ventriloquist"? From the desolation as described in "The Fundy Bay Forecast" to the quirky humor used in "I Might Have to Deal Drugs In Order to Afford to Live in this City" (where the closing line of the song is: "The world's oldest profession/ Don't seem out of the question"), Siobhan's lyrics sure do run the gamut.

In October 2002, Siobhan released her first album, titled "Permanent Markers", produced by Steve Rossiter at Axis Sound. In the years since, she has promoted the album and played throughout the NYC area.

Siobhan signed with the new NYC-based indie label, Blue Cocoon. A label dedicated to singer-songwriters and headed by studio svengali Steve Rossiter.

Siobhan’s second album, titled “Alibi Bye” has a newer, richer sound. There really is something for everyone on this album--Siobhan really experimented with different sounds and styles.

Siobhan's musical career was a bit of an accident. Theatre was her first love. But her voice was deemed too "gritty" for the musical theatre world. So she did what anyone else would do: wrote her own songs! She mixes her sha-zitt up with guitar, banjo and piano. With her unique sound and smart lyrics, Siobhan O'Malley is one artist to watch!
