The Escape Lyrics

I'm a lie, terminal and unfree
If only you weren't like you, maybe I wouldn't be
Truth in between us is condescending it's never ending, it's all
I'd love to know where I am, here tonight

Out, let it out
You're all I'm breathing now
Right in front of me
Yeah you found it again and I hope you hold on

(Close, close your eyes)

Contradiction sewn together in sound
Our promises shatter like glass alive on the ground
The miles between us they stay consistent so damn persistent
I can't stand the taste of it, It's all gone to waste but it's wrong
(And I know it?)
I can't seem to place it just smile you're the face of the calm in the current

Out, let it out
You're all I'm breathing now
Right in front of me
Yeah you found it again that you lost all your faith within
Me, let it out
You're all I'm breathing now
Right in front of me
Yeah you found it again and I hope you hold on to the end

Try to scream at the
Sky that you're barely alive
Try and not find yourself tonight,
When I lie you can't turn your back on life

Out, let it out
You're all I'm breathing now
Right in front of me
Yeah you found it again and I hope you'll hold on til the end
Let it out
You're all I'm breathing now
Right in front of me
Yeah you found it again and I hope you hold on

Yeah you found it again and I hope you'll hold on til the end
Yeah you found it again and I hope you'll hold on til the end
Yeah you found it again and I hope you'll hold on til the end

Avion Roe is a rock band from Dallas, TX.  2011 marks the birth of their energetic, somewhat schizophrenic debut album 'The Art of Fiction'. Avion Roe's songs are about hope and overcoming obstacles. The 10 song album connects from the first song to the last with sound effects, pianos and subtle guitars while singer Evan Lester screams out thoughts that couldn't find songs to call their homes. Lester describes the record best: "Avion Roe saved our lives, ...We forgot everything we new about music and started over. 'Fiction' took over a year to make but it was worth it, we love playing these songs live." And their live show is not one to miss: guitar player Jordan Modro spends the entire set making one guitar sound like three, Sean Humphrey (bass) will more than likely jump off something while you're watching them. The drummer, Josh Cutlip, holds the group together while delivering a hyper, punk-influenced performance, and with all of this going on on the stage you still may find it hard to look away from their theatrical, mic-swinging singer Evan Lester.
