If we talk about authentic, modern macedonian electronic music, we talk about Robotek. He is definitely the one who is most advanced, both in a technical and spiritual use of the machines that create sound. His sound is noticably more developed, deeper and stronger than everything else you can find in Macedonia. His musical development is obvious logical progression, beginning with the obscure Amiga sound experiments circa 1996; early Warp influenced protolectro stuff around 1998; the trip in deep techno and house territory at the turn of the century; and finaly new wave electro madness where his head is just about now. He is part of PMG Recordings since its early beginning, contributing tracks to their first compilations of modern Macedonian electronic music in 1999. Since then he became a regular, playing live on their parties in Skopje and Macedonia. He also gigged internationally, playing in Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Albania, Slovenia, and Croatia so far.
In March 2004 he released his debut LP, Robotek on PMG Recordings and toured the country, which helped increase his popularity. By all means, this album is the most sophisticated Macedonian electronic music release so far.
His second album, released in September 2006, also on PMG Recordings, represents a significant development for his unique sound.
Apart from playing live his own music, currently he is busy producing PMG KOLEKTIV music, working as a studio sound designer, doing music for films and commercials, djing and being a naughty boy all around.
His live sets are a long fluent mix of electro, house and techno parts, blended together in a very modern fashion. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
