Singer/Songwriter and Multi-Instrumentalist from Oakland, California, D. Edward , is also an accomplished percussionist and currently tours with legendary R&B/Funk group Con Funk Shun as well as a bandleader in his own right.

He’s performed at Room 5 Los Angeles, the Soiled Dove Underground in Denver, the ULUV Music Festival in San Francisco, Ashkenaz in Berkeley, Oakland Mayhem Festival (Headliner) & Awaken Café in Oakland, Neck of the Woods & 50 Mason Social House in San Francisco, SXSW Austin TX.

His first solo CD, Little Red Box, gained radio airplay around the USA. His song Truly broke the Top 20 of the FMQB Adult Contemporary Chart. He’s a ReverbNation “Featured Artist” and his music can be heard on Pandora, iHeart and Spotify radio among others.

His current album, Love Is, features Grammy Award Winning Pianist Laura Sullivan along with Trumpet player Steffen Kuehn , Saxophonist Tony Peebles from 2013 Grammy Winning band Pacific Mambo Orchestra and Billboard Music Award Winner, Leah Tysse .
Love Is was two years in the making. It features catchy hooks and grooves with a familiar yet unique modern pop and retro soul sound. D. Edward has the ability to sound different on different songs yet keep his own style.
The first single/music video from the album, "Love Is", premiered on Magic Johnson's Aspire TV Network in December 2014 and his current single/music video, "Show Me", was added to MTV.com and CMT.com in March 2015.

He’s a Board member of the Keep Music Rockin’ Foundation and the Balanced Breakfast Music Meet Ups. The Keep Music Rockin' Foundation helps raise funds and offers educational clinics to the music students & programs in the San Leandro Unified School District. The Balanced Breakfast is a local music meet up, which is designed to create and support the local music community.
