His instantly identifiable divine voice; and the stunning music versatility that he possesses, sangeeth wijesuriya has simply become the heartthrob of the genuine music fans all over the country as well as one of the most influential figures in modern sri lankan music industry.

Whilst possessing all the requisite tools to dominate the industry at will, he has been producing some amazing, unique and quality music for the last 3 decades inspired by the sri lankan folk songs as well as indian and western classical music.

His great ability to share his deep insights through music, gives him a great satisfaction knowing that he is being able to raise the vibration of those around him by spreading the wisdom through his music.

Soon after becoming the number one in a singing competition held in 1989, this young man with a promising future broke in to the music business with his first electric band (sa ni dha pa), and rose to the fame in the blink of an eye, which was inevitable. And over the years he made himself one of the most iconic singers sri lanka has ever produced, and a prominent music director, a true entertainer as well as an actor, with ease.

He is one of the most charismatic, humble and simple individual that any one will ever come across with, and also it reflects in his attitude that he is a true practitioner of the martial art, tai - chi and xing yi.

He founded his latest band ‘wayo’ few years ago and carrying it to the highest levels imaginable while leading by example and by being a great mentor and a true visionary to his members.

Sangeeth is a well known exceptional classical and flamenco guitarist and recently passed the grade 8 of the trinity guildhall examination to set the bar high for the others to follow.
