1) Maniacs is a German hardcore punk band from Rotenburg.

2) Manics is the result of drunk conversations about making music actually coming to fruition. Jordan Deherrera & Chris Sanders both started as DJ's in the SF underground dance music scene before pairing up to begin production. The duo have developed their set as more of a live performance, programing effects and instruments with live improvisation to set themselves apart from the usual Digital DJ.

Manics is not genre specific nor would ever want to be. Influences from all over the dance music spectrum are digested and reinterpreted to provide a unique sound that defies the statue quo.

With less than a year of existence Manics has shared the stage with acts like Peace Treaty, Dillon Francis, The Tenderlions, Midnight Conspiracy and more. Additionally they have done official remixes for SF live house musician Jaswho? and LA electro act Cold Blank. An EP is already in the works and set to be released sometime early in 2012.
