Una Banda was formed in Guadalajara, México in the year 2004. Their style was defined by themselves as "Alternative NuMetal", but their wide use of reefs and some grunge guitars are also very characteristic of their sound. Their songs are very catchy, with pogo inducing reefs and sing-along choruses.

They where active for two years, and had a strong fanbase in the christian community of their city, they toured several cities of the center and west part of México, mostly on christian music festivals. They recorded only four songs in their short career, they won the recording of those tracks in a local talent contest and thus produced their first demo, "Regresa a casa" (Come back home).

Their lyrics are all christian oriented, as all the members declared themselves christians. The band was formed by Sergio "Ches" López on the guitars, Ollin Monroy on the bass, Antonio "Caba" Caballero on the drums and Iván Arévalo on the vocals, they were all childhood friends, going to the same church since they were very young.

Several personal conflicts, such as Ollin abhorring religion and becoming an active atheist and Iván migrating to the united states led to the separation of the band in 2006. Read more on Last.fm.
