Rodney Cordners songs and music is a blend of the traditional and the contemporary with guitar as the main accompaniment. Rodney comes from Northern Ireland and began his career back in the sixties, when folk and acoustic music began to become commercially popular. He played with various bands in Ireland and began song-writing back in the mid-seventies.
Throughout the last 25 years Rodney has performed at festivals, appeared on dozens of TV and radio shows and toured extensively in over 20 countries including Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, France, Holland, USA and South Africa .
During this time he has released 14 recordings on vinyl and CD, 9 of these albums with French fiddle player Jean-Pierre Rudolph, with whom he continues to tour and has shared stages with such artists as Pete Seegar, Stocktons Wing, Luka Bloom, the Incredible String Band, Glen of Guinness, Tommy Makam and Tommy Sands to name but a few.
