Sound of Reverse formed in the late 1990s in Allentown/Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Its most consistent lineup included drummer Tony Lipovsky, singer/guitarists Tom Cobb and Chris Eckhart, and singer/bassist Pete Brown. Altogether, they released three full-length albums, with Pete Brown departing for the Austin-based band Velorum before their final effort. His replacement, Matt Gregorec, had previously served bass duties in the Hopeless Records band, Digger.
