This Is God Lyrics

Hey, this is God
could I please have your attention
there's a need for intervention
Man, I'm dissappointed in what I'm seeing

Yeah, this is God
you fight each other in my name
treat life like its a foolish game
well I say you've got the wrong idea

Oh, all I'm asking for is love
I've seen you hurt yourselves enough
oh, I've been waiting on a change in you

yeah this is God
I've given everything to you
woah, but look at what you do
to the world that I created

this is God
what's with this attitude and hate?
you grow more ignorant with age
you had it made... now look at all you've wasted

oh, all I'm asking for is love
I've seen you hurt yourselves enough
Oh, I've been waiting on a change in you

I know your every thought,
your heart and soul,
and every move
there are so many consequences
to the things you do

oh, all I'm asking for is love
haven't you hurt yourselves enough?
oh, I've been waiting on a change in you
...A change in you

...this is God.

Phil Vassar (born May 28, 1964 in Lynchburg, Virginia) is an American country music artist, most notable for his songwriting and use of a piano as his most prominent backing instrument.

Prior to signing with Arista Records in 2000, Vassar's songwriting talent was no stranger to the airwaves, penning number-one hits for some of the most popular country artists of the late 1990s: Jo Dee Messina ("Bye, Bye" and "I'm Alright"), Alan Jackson ("Right on the Money") and Tim McGraw ("My Next Thirty Years" and "For A Little While"). He has also written songs for Collin Raye ("Little Red Rodeo") and Blackhawk ("Postmarked Birmingham").

Vassar also co-owns a piano bar outside Nashville, Tennessee, where he performed his own material prior to signing a record deal. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
