Singer/songwriter Duane Scott hales from the town of Clarksdale, a Mississippi city that has had such stars as Ike Turner, the late great Sam Cooke and today's hip-hop star Nate Dogg pass through its streets. With Duane himself voted one of Mississippi's Best Kept Secrets in 2006, hopefully Duane will continue the string of great stars to come from this little town located in the Mississippi Delta.

Duane Scott began singing in church at the age of four. Now he's using his gift to bestow a bit of R/B flair mixed with a subtle hint of urban and hip-hop. Duane has been greatly influenced by artist such as Kenny Lattimore, Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder, and Musiq Soulchild to name a few. Once a member of the upstart group "Neutral", where he was not allowed to show his true vocals skills, Duane Scott eventually left to pursue his dream on his own. He released his 2004 debut CD entitled "New Luv" to great reviews. The CD itself consists of a number of ballads just for the ladies, as well as a few up-tempo songs for the fellas.

Duane has performed on television shows in the New Orleans area as well as performed on a regular bases in Jackson, MS, Omaha, NE, and other cities, and has also received a number of accolades such as being voted as the 3rd most requested song for the month of July 05 on WJMB Internet Radio Station from the www.memphisrealtalk.com website. He was also featured in the August 05 issue of Mahogany magazine.

Duane has recently finished working on his sophomore CD entitled “It’s Jus Muzic”. The future is bright and this R&B newcomer is ready for the light to shine on him. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
