Deep Josh, fresh back from the Miami frontline, on turntable manoeuvres for
SOULFURIC RECORDS - The first release this year, a funk-yer-socks off track called
MOVEMENT, on the SOULFURIC DEEP imprint was jointly created with Josh’s
production partner, ANGEL Piña.
Josh has gained tremendous momentum and support behind his musical and
performance concept, with bookings all over the world and drawing strong
support for his productions play listed from the world's leading DJs.
2007 kicked off in style seeing Josh play to massive crowds in South America.
Then back to his native Murcia to finish some important studio projects and
support his incredible 8 nominations (as a DJ, Remixer, Producer and best house
track of last year) by two of Spain’s leading industry-focused publications. He hs
been awarded with the DJONERS

as Best Newcomer DJ 2005 & Best
House Track “Back to Rhodes” 2006.
Deep Josh confesses to an ongoing love affair with house music. It began in
1998, when Josh invested all his capital to work on a musical project under the
name D10STUDIO. Since then (and under other pseudonyms), he has edited
more than 100 Maxi singles focused on dance music in all its variations. But the
great dream and his master-plan had always been to produce fine house music.
The first work, DEF BOND & FAFA MONTECO Present THE APPLEFUNK Feat.
ALEXIS – CAN'T FAKE THE FEELING. It was released on CHICAYORK, the label
managed by famous French producer FAFA MONTECO, and was also remixed
by MOLACACHO (WILLY SAN JUAN & JUAN MAGAN), SLAMMIN´ PHROGZ and DJ
NEKBATH. It was published in Spain by HOUSE WORKS (HW). Fafa (who was a
member of SUPERFUNK) presented this work at the MIAMI WINTER MUSIC
CONFERENCE 2001, where it caught the attention of leading international DJs,
among them, the great TONY HUMPHRIES, who included it in his US and UK
compilations. In 2002, Josh moved to the Balearic white Isle of Ibiza to work in
one of the best studios in Europe, Studio 33, which itself relocated from Hamburg,
Germany. He shared creative experiences with LUIS RODRIGUEZ, producer of
MODERN TALKIN', FUN FACTORY, 2 EIVISSA, & AVANT GARDE.
He also participated and collaborated in various productions, crossing genres with
ease, and seeing the Deep Josh style out-reach to more radio shows, gain further
support from top DJs and generate higher sales figures.
Recent remixes for SOUL CENTRAL - Need U Now, which was released by
DEFECTED UK, took Josh’s style even higher in worldwide charts.
Recently Josh was been working closely with his band, producers and soul diva,
Kaysee, cutting some stellar tracks, with more to come from the The Applefunk
this year While managing the studio and label business, he has been also
resident DJ for PRIVILEGE IBIZA for 2 years and the promoter of "THE APPLEFUNK
SESSIONS".
As a DJ, his sets are replete with pumpin' soulful, elegant vocal house and
percussive tracks. He has played sets in many venues.
