JC Supercar dominated the Phoenix, Arizona alternative music scene in through the 1990s, head-lining their own shows, as well as opening for national acts, such as Tool, Radiohead, Goo Goo Dolls, Frank Black, Korn, Toadies, Mike Watt and many others.

Their first release, "Hay Bailer," sold over 3,000 units without any promotion whatsoever.

Their second release, entitled "Latterday Speedway" was released circa 1995

Their final EP was entitiled "Land Speed" and was released circa 1997 - recorded by Larry Elyea "...when we first started recording with Larry, he was recording direct to cassette tape... then he discovered 4-track recorders... shit, who'd a thunk he would actually amount to anything?" - Buck Hammer, things, Buck and the Hammertoes http://www.mindseyedigital.net/

The band appeared at CMJ NY twice and SXSW, as well as the Eat'm conference in Las Vegas.

Received a demo deal from Columbia Records and offered a deal with Island Records. When Seagram's merged Island with Mercury, all bets were off and from there, JC Supercar's fate was sealed.

The band disbanded in late 1999, shortly on the heels of their only International release, entitled "Four Banger".

The band's rock edge, blended with vocalist Mitch Steele's unique voice and harmonies made Jesus Chrysler Supercar accessible to listeners of alternative, rock, pop and hard rock.
