Through and Through Lyrics

You've got that look in your eye again
It's working overtime
Worried about where I'm gonna spend my life
But it's much too late, it's much too late
Oh it's much too late to start picking fights

You said: Where ya been, where ya been
Where ya going to, where ya going to, where ya going to?
'Cause I'm right here, yeah

Can't it wait, can't it wait, can't it wait
Just a minute now, just a minute now, come on

CHORUS
I need some air to breathe
I need some space, just leave
'Cause I'm colder than ever (colder than ever)
I said I'm colder than ever
I'm empty, empty through and through

Someday they'll see, someday I'll be
Unwanting of somewhere to hide
But for now I'll take shelter
Deep in the back of my mind
Can it wait? Can't you wait?
'Cause I ain't ready to lay it on the line
I still shake, I still shake
From this chill in my spine

I've got this chill yeah
In the back of my spine
Baby all the time now
Chilling my bones, chilling all alone now

Find a way, find a way, I've found a way
To cope with the everyday now
Raise your hands if you understand

CHORUS

Smiling's just a phase yeah
And nothing can phase me

Life of Agony is an alternative metal band from Brooklyn, NY who are known to incorporate hardcore and thrash elements into their music, however they have a wide range of influences, including reggae (Bob Marley) and alternative rock (Radiohead). They formed in 1989 after Mina Caputo (then known as Keith Caputo) was looking for musicians to form a rock band, she eventually recruited her cousin, Joey Z on guitar and long-time friend Alan Robert on bass. Type O Negative's drummer Sal Abruscato was hired to record albums 'River Runs Red' and 'Ugly' on drums. He re-joined the band when they reformed in 2003.

After releasing two albums with this line-up, Sal left due to musical differences, and recruited a drummer for the recording/touring of 'Soul Searching Sun.' Caputo felt that the band's original spirit had left the band, and decided to quit in 1997. After a few tours with several vocalists, including Whitfield Crane, the singer from Ugly Kid Joe, the band officially disbanded in 1999.

In 2003, the band reunited with their original line-up and played two sold-out shows before their home-town crowd, receiving great reception. This eventually led to a new studio album in 2005, namely 'Broken Valley'. Singer Caputo revealed she was a transgender woman in 2011, becoming known as Mina Caputo. The band broke up again in 2012.

In 2014 the original 'River Runs Red' line-up returned to stage for several gigs. Their latest album A Place Where There's No More Pain is set to be released in April 2017. Read more on Last.fm.
