The Autumn Hollow Band is an Americana four-piece derivative of its Boston roots and the collaborative musicianship of Brendan Murphy, Todd Sampson, Scott Marucci, and Mike Burke. They’ve split their three year tenure between playing live, encouraging the fellowship of area roots musicians and recording their first album. The resultant album is a mish-mash of the Grateful Dead and The Band, more Wilco than Son Volt, but is a sound all their own. The Autumn Holler gents make you want to flick a Bic, raise a beer and sing along.

Not content to stay holed up in their studio … or adhere to the traditional deadlines of studio creation, Autumn Hollow’s Love Letters and Ransom Notes is a correspondence between the band and its fans. It’s a truly DIY offering of classic rock punctuated by the country instrumentation of guitars, stand-up bass and harmony vocals. Recorded over a two-year span in their private studio, Love Letters unabashedly embodies the band’s live sound, leaving listeners eager to seek out their next show.

Love Letters and Ransom Notes was recorded by Burke and Marucci at Studio 12E in Waltham and in a house on the Cape. Mixing and mastering by Burke at Fader VU in West Roxbury and Specialized Mastering in Framingham.
