The New York Howl is a New York rock band that played their own brand of self-titled "Blue-Eyed Soul". They get their influences from a wide range of musics, such as soulful, uplifting gospel to punk energy to classic rhythm-and-blues, to jazz, to garage rock.

They formed in the summer of 2005. Their debut album, "People Will Come To See Us Ride" was self-released in the summer of '06. They've toured the north-east coast with the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, and toured southern England in the summer of '06.
