Kodac aka M80 is an emcee based out of Pontiac, Michigan. His music has been classified as hip-hop, soul, funk and experimental. He combines the lyrical swagger of new school rappers like Lupe Fiasco with the social and spiritual musings of emcees like Common and Gift of Gab. His first album, UnClassified, had him working with a slew of Midwest producers such as Decompoze, Nick Speed, 14KT, ZO!, AKA, and Zhao-Ski. His meaningful lyrics and smooth delivery earned him respect as a noteworthy newcomer to the hip-hop scene, especially in his local metro-Detroit area of origin. His recent "Blessed by a Broken Heart" (An Experience) EP gave a sample of his upcoming album, which has him collaborating with artists such as Binary Star, Blue Raspberry, Agile, Gwaii, T.
