There are at least 3 musical acts with the name PRIM:

(1) Vienna-based eclectic jazz trio

Musical transgressions, classical forms mixed with grooves which are more reminiscent of drum & bass and polymorphous rhythm concepts - PRIM have to share their name with numbers, prayer rituals or cities, but the Viennese trio is musically unmistakable. The trio experiments with sounds and schemes, stories are told with childlike joy, narratives are built up, sounds are sketched - and then broken up again. In doing so, they playfully move between tranquility and intoxication, volatility and meditative minimalism, fast caffeine flashes and slow coffee indulgences.

Members:
Felix Biller: piano
Martin Melzer: bass
Christoph Karas: drums

(2) Bangkok (Thailand)-based "When Brit Pop Meets Electronica" trio

PRIM released their self-titled debut CD in November 2006.

Members:
Paew Bussaba Wongsaraya: vocals
Bomb Puri Tammarongtam: programmer
Bozo: programmer

(3) Seattle-based alt-rock band

Originally formed in 2020, Prim was established by founding members Kevin Flores and Mark Ramos as a departure from their previous bands in the Houston punk and hardcore scene. Still sharing the same ethos, Prim was a platform for the band's love of indie and alternative rock, mirroring the evolution of Deep Wound to Dinosaur Jr. Now based in Seattle, the band has transformed with the addition of members Evelyn Frances and Shane Juretic.
Debut 12" LP "Move Too Slow" released on Sunday Drive Records in June of 2024. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
