When Tuscaloosa's Rob Guthrie was asked to perform on the Main Stage at the Kentuck Festival in the fall of 2008, he called on college friend Seth Martin to help him fill out the 90 minute set. Having traded songs and ideas for years, the two songwriters found that the collaboration helped them rearrange and reimagine their respective backlogs into something fresh and powerful. After a quick guerrilla recording session in December, they released their debut "Rain is the Soup of the Dogs in Heaven" in May of 2009 under the moniker the Sinful Savage Tigers.
