There are at least two bands known as The Gibbons:

1) Formed in 2001, the Gibbons were a DIY punk band from Detroit, Michigan often compared to Jawbreaker, Leatherface and the Lawrence Arms. The songs are inspired by the political as much as the personal, and most often, the interaction between the two realms. The Gibbons final show was in May of 2006, at the historically anarchist DIY art-space the Trumbullplex.

2) Three brothers from the Gibbons family from Utah. They play pop. There album "More Than Air" was released in 2005.

From their Reverbnation page: "It is said that love makes the world go 'round (we're told that Tabasco sauce will do the same thing). Somehow, The Gibbons, a trio of brothers, couldn't get away from love and relationships being the central theme of their album, "More Than Air."

Michael (23), Guy (20), and Grant (17) entered the recording world as toddlers and haven't been able to get away from it ever since."
