Just Guns continue to define and expand their space in-between the genres of indie, pop, alt-country and noise rock. Moving effortlessly between twangy two-minute pop delicacies to feedback drenched oeuvres, the band's multi-faceted nature is far more boon than burden. On their debut full-length, Secrets/Spotlights, lyrically rich, hook-laden vocal melodies spar with crying pedal steel, and textural guitars punctuate moments in the driving rhythm section.

Simultaneously challenging and complimenting each other's writing style, songwriters Topher Hyink and George Irwin push each other both musically and lyrically. Supported by the sometimes furious, but always steady drumming of Brian Reed and rooted, melodic bass lines of Phil McJunkins and Hyink, the songs ebb and flow from Gram Parsons style heartache to an intensity reminiscent of Sonic Youth, all the while being sprinkled with McJunkins' shimmering pedal steel.

Having established themselves in the Austin music scene, Just Guns energetically recreate their sonic canvases in their show. The live band brings a beautifully heartfelt, dynamic set that moves through a landscape of sound, and conjures images of raucous nights, perceptions of tender nostalgia, and life in-between.
