A Deluxe Breed was formed in Manchester, England in 1995 by Phil Thornleigh. Retro avant-garde & underground...their sound has evolved over the years, drawing elements from electronica, punk, experimental, new-wave, post-punk & synthpop.

"Desire: The Latent Journey" is arguably their best and most inventive album to date. Clashing guitars meet throbbing bass, mesmerizing keyboards, soothing vocals & intricate synthesized soundscapes. Described by Sound On Sound magazine as 'by far the best demo tape this year' September 1999,refering to 'In God We Mistrust'. Pehaps one of the most underated,underground bands in the north of England. There is so much mystery with this band and it's music it is almost unreal. New album released October 2008 'TRICOLOR'.
