Yossif Ivanov was born in 1986 in Antwerp, Belgium. At the age of five he received his first violin lessons. He continued his musical education with Zakhar Bron in Lübeck, and later with Igor & Valery Oistrakh at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and the Queen Elisabeth College of Music. At the moment he studies at the Queen Elisabeth College of Music with Augustin Dumay.
Yossif is an award winner of competitions such as the “C. de Bériot” (Brussels), “H. Wieniawsky” (Lublin), and the “Y. Menuhin” (England). In 2003, at the age of 16, he is awarded the First Grand Prize of the “Montreal International Musical Competition”. In May 2005, he has won the Second Prize - Prize “Eugène Ysaÿe” - at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition, as well as the Prize of the Public.
Yossif Ivanov has studied the violin with Zakhar Bron in Lübeck, with Igor & Valery Oistrakh at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and with Augustin Dumay at the Queen Elisabeth College of Music in Belgium, where he finished his studies in June 2007.
