The Underdog Conspiracy were a punk rock band based out of Kansas City, MO. They formed in fall 1998 and played many small shows and house parties, as well as touring the festival circuit with Warped Tour and getting a spot on Cornerstone. They had a wide variety of influences which covered: Slick Shoes, Dogwood, Ninety Pound Wuss, Face to Face, Craig's Brother, Lifetime, and The Suicide Machines. They were a Christian band with strong convictions and were open about it in the music they wrote. Their live performance was renowned for its energetic style and sometimes destructive nature. The band self-released a well-circulated demo CD in the spring of 2000, and found a home at Pluto Records a year later to release "Victory." recorded in the fall of 2001 at Ashland Studios in Kansas City.
