There are multiple artists that go by the name E.C.

One is the band from Finland that plays Camilla Heidenberg’s compositions. The style can be described as a mix of Jazz, Soul, Latin, Pop and Funk in both instrumental arrangements as well as vocal compositions in both English and Swedish.

E.C. consists of:

Emilia Nyman vocals

Markus Helander drums
Teemu Korpikoski saxophone
Henri Wilkinson additional keyboards
Victoria Lindqvist backing vocals

The musicians are all students or teachers at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, except for Emilia Nyman who has training as a musical artist from the Ballet Academy in Gotenburg. She has a strong Jazz and Soul voice and has also studied for Elisabeth Howard at the Vocal Power Academy in Los Angeles. Since 2000, she has starred in a number of musicals, shows and theater plays and she has also been seen in national TV in Finland.

E.C. has performed for instance in the Mariehamn Winter Jazz and Blues festival in 2005. During the spring of 2006, E.C. participated in the music contest Musik.ax and won the second prize, as well as the jury’s honorary mention. Read more on Last.fm.
