Acquiring influences form such bands as Sepultura, Living Sacrifice, and Helmet, Pureblank’s contrast of melody and classic thrash can best be heard on songs like ''Conundrum'' and ''Yesterday's Vision of Tomorrow.” You never really know where this band is coming from or what desolate wasteland they'll end up taking you to, but the essence of their design is unmistakably related to their independent style and underground roots. After much deliberation, Pureblank decided to end their 3 year career in June of 2005, but four of the remaining members went on to form Victory Records recording artist Arise and Ruin. Pureblank's “Days Ending in Y” album stands as a testament to Guelph's local metal scene.
